The Mental Health and Wellbeing Services team are committed to supporting staff wellbeing in a dynamic, busy environment and support professional development through partnerships with external training providers.

To be successful for this role, you will have/be:

• Current registration as an Enrolled Nurse with AHPRA
• Completed a Diploma in Nursing
• Medically Endorsed (s/c, IM, enteral, topical routes) in addition to base qualification
• A minimum of 2 years nursing experience, including 12 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting
• Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions
• Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2014
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights)
• Possess excellent clinical skills

• Multiple positions available - full-time and part-time, ongoing roles 
• Must be able to commit to 0.8 EFT or above
• Work in a newly established, state of the art facility

The SMHWC is currently looking for PENs to join Unit 3 located at Sunshine Hospital. Unit 3 consists of a 26- bed unit with 3 care areas including an Intensive Care Area, Medium Care Area and the General Care Area.

Psychiatric Enrolled Nurse (PEN) - Western Health Pool

Permanent Full-Time/Part-Time
