Our Community Paediatric Service is seeking a highly motivated Grade 3 Psychologist to join our team. The Grade 3 Psychologist fulfils a diverse role within the Paediatric Service at Melton Health hub and is responsible for providing leadership and supervision to Psychology and broader allied health teams. The Grade 3 Psychologist works collaboratively with the Paediatric leadership team to innovate and drive improvement initiatives. Experience in quality improvement and leadership are desirable attributes for this role. 

 

The Psychology team at Melton provide community-based services to children and adolescents in the outer west. The successful incumbent will have the opportunity to partake in multidisciplinary autism assessments, developmental assessment clinics, and complete psycho-educational assessments to help families better understand their young one and help connect them with appropriate funding pathways. Opportunities to provide short term intervention may also form part of this role. We also provide information, advice, and support to staff, families, carers, teachers, community workers and other stake-holders regarding the nature of a child’s psychological presentation and support needs. 

 

The role operates within a broad multidisciplinary team, working collaboratively with other Psychologists, Paediatricians, Paediatric Registrars, Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Social Workers, and Allied Health Assistants. The provision of clinical supervision is a key aspect of this role with opportunities to connect and collaborate with Psychology teams across Western Health more broadly.
