About the role:

Western Health is seeking a skilled and motivated Grade 3 CT Radiographer to join our Medical Imaging team across all campuses, including the New Footscray Hospital. This role combines advanced clinical practice with the opportunity to support CT modality leads in the leadership and management of the CT service.

 

As a Grade 3 CT Radiographer, you will provide leadership within your rostered CT area, mentor and train staff, and uphold high clinical standards. You will be supported by senior clinical leaders, comprehensive professional development resources, and strong organisational infrastructure. This role is ideal for an experienced CT radiographer looking to expand their leadership capabilities while maintaining hands-on clinical practice within a 24/7 service.

 

It is an exciting time to join our expanding CT team, providing imaging for emergency, inpatient and outpatient services across all Western Health CT sites, including the new Footscray Hospital. In this role, you will guide staff, oversee daily operations at your site, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver Best Care.

 

You will be part of a dedicated Imaging Service that provides safe, high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic imaging across all life stages. Key responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and provide leadership to the team rostered in CT with you
  • Assist the CT modality supervisors to support radiographers rostered to CT and ensure compliance with training and credentialing
  • Assist the CT modality supervisors with quality improvement activities and service delivery improvements
  • Ensure daily efficiencies in workflow, scheduling, and resource management
  • Ensure exceptional standards of patient care and image quality
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of departmental/modality protocols and quality assurance in line with accreditation standards
  • Maintain advanced credentialling in CT
  • Participate in out of hours 24/7 rostering and call

 

About you: 

  • AHPRA-registered Radiographer with a current Radiation Use Licence (Victoria)
  • Working with Children card
  • Advanced clinical skills and experience with minimum 10 years experience in CT
  • Proven leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Strong commitment to patient safety, quality, and team collaboration
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
