Role Summary: 

Grade 2 Radiographer

  • Location: Footscray Hospital
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Ongoing
  • Salary: Grade 2 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging

$90,235.60 - $103,724.40 based on experience, per the Allied Health Professionals (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2026.

 

About the Role:
Western Health is seeking a skilled and motivated Grade 2 Radiographer to join our Diagnostic Imaging team across our network of hospitals and health services, including the New Footscray Hospital. This is a unique opportunity to work in a new, state-of-the-art healthcare facility committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to the local community, with access to training opportunities across multiple imaging modalities.

 

As a Grade 2 Radiographer, you will bring a minimum of three years’ post-qualification clinical experience, demonstrating strong technical capability, sound clinical judgement, and a professional approach to patient care. You will work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment, performing a broad range of diagnostic imaging examinations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and compassion. The role also includes supporting and mentoring junior radiographers and students, contributing to a positive learning culture within the department.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations across a range of modalities.
  • Demonstrate dedication to ongoing learning, professional development, and career progression.
  • Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe and efficient imaging services.
  • Support, mentor, and provide guidance to junior staff and students, fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Ensure patient-centred care by delivering timely, accurate, and compassionate imaging services across a 24/7 service.

 

About You:

  • Minimum of 3 years post-qualification clinical experience.
  • AHPRA-registered Diagnostic Radiographer
  • Holds Victorian Radiation User license and WWC
  • Desire to be trained across multiple modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong commitment to patient care and safety
  • Ability to work at all WH campuses across a 24/7 service
