About the role
The People & Culture team at Western Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Recruitment Officer to join our dynamic and collaborative environment. Based at Footscray Hospital, this full-time, fixed-term opportunity (8 July 2025 until 9 September 2025) offers the chance to work alongside a highly experienced recruitment team, providing administrative and customer support throughout the recruitment and onboarding cycle. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality people and culture services while building your career in a fast-paced, purpose-driven setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare employment contracts
- Guide and support onboarding/cross boarding
- Ensure candidates meet pre-employment screening requirements
- Draft and post job advertisements across various platforms
- Maintain recruitment databases, reporting and compliance documentation
- Provide administrative support to Recruitment Advisors and senior team members
About you:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- A customer-focused approach and professional manner
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a busy, collaborative team

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
