We are seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and motivated Midwives to join our newly established specialist clinic – SAPPHIRE (Substance and Alcohol use, Psychological and Pregnancy Health In the Right Environment).

5 x 0.2 EFT positions available (Friday Clinic).

 

This innovative clinic provides continuity of care through a small, dedicated multidisciplinary team, supporting women who use substances or alcohol and/or experience significant mental health or psychosocial challenges during pregnancy. This opportunity is ideal for midwives with a strong interest in complex pregnancy care, who are enthusiastic about working in a specialised setting and committed to making a meaningful impact in the lives of women with high-risk needs.

The successful candidates will demonstrate:

 

  • Minimum three years full-time or equivalent experience as a Registered Midwife
  • Excellent clinical skills and previous ANC experience (additional training or experience with complex pregnancy care desirable)
  • Commitment to high quality, safe and person centred care
  • High level communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage own time well and delegate appropriately.
  • Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team.
  • Models Western Health values and supports positive behaviors through a positive, passionate, and supportive approach.
