Registered Nurse (Hospital in the Home)

- Salary: HITH/PAC Nurse Level 1 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging
About the role:
We are currently seeking interest from a Registered Nurse to apply for a part-time position with Footscray HITH.
The Hospital in the Home (HITH) nurse is responsible for providing quality acute nursing care to patients in their place of residence, with close collaboration with the HITH medical team and treating specialty unit.
By joining the HITH team, you will be joining a passionate and dynamic team, committed to delivering excellent care to our diverse patient population. You will have the opportunity to work autonomously caring for patients, utilising your advanced clinical assessment skills, whilst accessing the support of the HITH team.
This is an exciting time to join our HITH service, as we continue to grow, innovate and expand the care we provide to patients and families in their own homes.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide timely and appropriate acute nursing care to patients in their place of residence
- Educate patients and their relatives regarding their plan of care
- Liaise with appropriate treating teams with changes in patient condition
- Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team
About you:
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an acute setting
- Current Victorian Driver’s Licence
- Venepuncture and Peripheral Cannulation experience
- Central Venous Access Device competence
- Experience with complex wound dressings
- Possess advanced clinical assessment skills
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
