Registered Nurse - Perioperative Services

The Division of Perioperative and Critical Care Services is responsible for the provision of both elective and emergency surgical procedures The Operating Suites and Day Procedure Units manage patients' admissions pre and post procedural/operative care; theatre or day procedure intervention and post procedural/operative care.

The below selection criteria apply to all vacancies listed:  

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA   
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute hospital setting 
• Possess excellent Perioperative Clinical Skills relevant to the campuses you are applying for 
• A commitment to high quality, safe person-centred care 
• A Postgraduate in Perioperative or Peri- anaesthetic Nursing is highly desirable   
• Must be available on a 7-day rotating roster  

Registered Nurse

• Location: Bacchus Marsh Hospital
• Employment Type: Ongoing, Part Time

The Bacchus Marsh Perioperative team is looking for dedicated, experienced, caring and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the Perioperative Team on a Part Time basis. The Division of Peri Operative and Critical Care Services is responsible for the provision of both elective and emergency surgical procedures with an emphasis on increasing the number of patients admitted on the day of surgery and as day cases.  The Operating Suite / Day Procedure Unit manage patient’s admissions pre and post procedural/operative care; theatre or day procedure intervention and post procedural/operative care.  

Bacchus Marsh Hospital has 3 operating theatres and supports a wide variety of surgeries including ENT, Gynaecological, Obstetric, Orthopaedic, Endoscopy and General Surgery.

About you:

• Must possess recent experience in Operating Suite/Anaesthetic/PACU/Scrub/Scout.
• Must be available to work a rotating roster and participate in on call.
• Possess a post graduate qualification or working towards same is highly desired
