Selection Criteria:
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Completed a post graduate qualification in mental health nursing
- A minimum of 12-24 months mental health experience in a mental health clinical setting inpatient and/or community-based setting
- Demonstrated understanding of working with mental health consumers, including appropriate supports, therapeutic engagement, assessment and evidence-based interventions
- Sound knowledge of the Mental Health Act 2022
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a 7 day a week rotating roster (AM, PM & Nights)
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 5 shifts per fortnight
- Willing to work across all Western Health campuses

The Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre is a multi-storey facility with two Mental Health Adult Acute Units, each comprising of 26 beds across Intensive Care Area, Medium Care Area and General Care Area.

Registered Psychiatric Nurse - Western Health Pool (Inpatient and Community)

Our Pool is the heartbeat of Western Health, ensuring seamless coverage across all our campuses. As a Pool Registered Psychiatric Nurse you will be contracted to fill mental health vacancies that arise daily across our inpatient units and/or community-based locations (depending on your experience).
