Research Lead - General Medicine
Position available: Research Lead, General Medicine, Western Health
Western Health seeks an experienced physician to join us as Research Lead in General Medicine. The role is to drive practical, applied, patient-centred research and research translation activities in General Medicine in a way that is aligned with the broader strategic priorities of Western Health. The Research Lead will act as a research ambassador for General Medicine and will be the main point of contact between the unit and the Western Health Office of Research.

- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in General Medicine and collaborative partners within and beyond Western Health

General Medicine is one of the largest inpatient units at Western Health. With teams at both Sunshine and Footscray Hospitals, we manage clinical complexity and provide holistic, patient-centred care. As the Site Director, you will head our General Medicine Unit at Footscray or Sunshine Hospital, providing clinical leadership, supervising and training junior medical staff, ensuring quality and safety of care, and supporting Western Health's strategic priorities. You will report to the Director of General Medicine and be supported by a site Operations Manager, as part of the leadership group within the division of Aged, General Medicine and Subacute Services.
