About the role
As a Research Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in advancing nursing and midwifery research at Western Health. Working collaboratively with clinicians, researchers, consumers and external partners, you will coordinate and manage research studies that contribute to evidence-based practice and improved patient outcomes. This role combines clinical expertise, project management, research governance and stakeholder engagement, ensuring research is conducted ethically, safely and to the highest professional standards.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage clinical research studies, including participant recruitment, consent processes, data collection and study documentation.
- Ensure compliance with research governance, ethics and regulatory requirements, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards.
- Monitor participant safety, manage adverse event reporting and maintain high-quality research records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, sponsors and external partners to successfully deliver research projects.
- Support the dissemination of research findings through presentations, reports, publications and educational activities.
About you
- Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration and a minimum of five years' clinical experience.
- Experienced in clinical research, with a sound understanding of ethical, governance and regulatory requirements.
- Highly organised with strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communicator who can build effective relationships with consumers, clinicians, researchers and external stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and collaborative, with a passion for improving patient care through research and innovation.
