Revenue Supervisor

About the role:
Western Health is looking for an experienced and driven Revenue Supervisor to join our dynamic Revenue Services team. In this key leadership role, you will support the Revenue Manager in overseeing billing and accounts receivable operations across multiple revenue streams including private health funds, third-party billings, Medicare Ineligible, TAC, and WorkSafe.
This is your chance to play a vital role in maximising revenue and ensuring timely and accurate billing while mentoring and supporting a dedicated team of revenue officers (6.1 EFT). You’ll also contribute to ongoing service improvements and be a critical voice in implementing revenue reform projects.
Key responsibilties:
- Lead and coordinate accounts receivable processes to optimise revenue
- Provide support, training, and mentorship to Revenue Services staff
- Analyse and report on aged debtors and billing performance
- Identify risks and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues
About you:
- Demonstrated experience in a healthcare revenue, billing, or accounts receivable role
- Strong understanding of legislative frameworks, including the Health Services Act, Medicare billing rules, Privacy Act, and compensable billing requirements (e.g. TAC, WorkSafe)
- High-level attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to interpret complex financial data
- Excellent leadership and team coordination skills, with a proven ability to coach and support others
- Professional and effective written and verbal communication
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using patient administration or billing systems (e.g. iPM, SAP, Cerner)
- Ability to proactively identify process improvement opportunities and implement change
