About the role

Western Health seeks experienced Security Industry Professional who wish to join a dynamic team at the forefront of providing a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

 

We are seeking Security Officers with 24/7 availability to work across our sites at Sunshine, Footscray, Williamstown, and Bacchus Marsh Hospitals.

 

Interacting with a culturally diverse range of customers you will be able to demonstrate the Western Health values of Compassion Accountability, Respect, Excellence & Safety. In effect you will deliver a safe and secure environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Successful completion of the Security Guard Unarmed Guard Certificate II course
  • Victorian Private Security Individual Licence
  • Current knowledge of Victorian legislation relevant to your role as a Security Officer
  • Current knowledge of emergency equipment such as Fire Extinguishers
  • A current Working with Children Check – Employee Status
  • A current Workplace First Aid Certificate

  • Demonstrated skill in communicating effectively with people

Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women’s prison located in Ravenhall.
