Senior Advisor - Digital Communications (Website)

About the role:

We’re looking for an experienced digital professional to lead the day-to-day oversight, governance and continuous improvement of Western Health’s corporate website. This is an opportunity to shape a high-profile digital platform that helps our community access the information and services they need while supporting Western Health’s reputation as a leading provider of healthcare.

Working within the Public Affairs team, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across a complex organisation to deliver accessible, user-centred digital experiences. You'll drive high-quality content, platform enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives that improve user experience, support service access, and align with organisational priorities.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day management, governance and optimisation of Western Health's corporate website, ensuring it is accessible, user-centred and aligned with organisational standards.
• Manage end-to-end publishing workflows and partner with stakeholders to deliver high-quality, plain English content that meets accessibility (WCAG) and usability best practice.
• Lead website enhancements from scoping through to delivery, working closely with external vendors to implement digital improvements and support the website roadmap.
• Use Google Analytics 4, search data and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance website performance and user outcomes.
• Build strong relationships across Public Affairs, Digital Technology Services, clinical and operational teams to provide trusted advice and deliver priority digital initiatives.

About you:

• Demonstrated experience managing and optimising large, complex websites, ideally within government or healthcare.
• Strong knowledge of content design, plain English, information architecture, user experience (UX) and web accessibility (WCAG).
• Proven experience delivering digital projects, including working with external vendors and coordinating website enhancements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data and user insights into practical improvements.
• An excellent communicator who can build trusted relationships, influence stakeholders and provide evidence-based digital advice across a complex organisation.
