Senior Clinical Psychologist (Grade 3) - Women's Pelvic Pain Service
- Location: Joan Kirner Women’s & Children’s Hospital and Bacchus Marsh Hospital
- Employment Type: Fixed Term (until June 2027), Part Time (68.4 hours/fortnight)
- Salary: Psychologist Grade 3 + Superannuation + Salary Packaging
About the role:
Join Western Health at an exciting time of growth in women’s health services. This role is central to a new multidisciplinary Pelvic Pain Clinic delivering holistic, person-centred care. You will provide expert psychological assessment and treatment for women experiencing pelvic pain, helping improve function, wellbeing and participation in daily life.
Working closely with a dedicated clinical team, you will shape innovative care pathways, support service development and mentor emerging clinicians. This is a unique opportunity to influence a growing service and make a meaningful difference in a diverse community.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based psychological assessment, treatment and care planning
- Improve access to specialised care for women’s health
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support integrated care
- Lead case discussions and contribute to patient education and self-management strategies
- Supervise psychologists
- Support service development, quality improvement and research activities
About you:
- Registered Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA and Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE)
- At least 5 years’ experience as a psychologist, including work with complex or chronic pain
- Strong skills in multidisciplinary collaboration and patient-centred care
- Experience supervising clinicians or students in clinical settings
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
- Contribute personally to the team culture
- Bring a sense of calm and stability whilst working within diverse and dynamic clinical settings
