An opportunity to join Western Health Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, community program based in Sunshine.
A case management-focussed Senior Clinical position is available in our community mental health team based in Sunshine.
This is a multidisciplinary role and is open to Registered Psychiatric Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Social Workers and Clinical Psychologists. Our community team is an integrated program with sub-acute community response with am and pm shifts 7 days per week. Monday to Friday functions include intake/triage, case management and therapies. Monday – Friday fixed roster may be available by negotiation. We are seeking a senior clinician to join our case management function.
To be Successful in this Role, you will:
- Lead with kindness, role modelling open communication and a desire to support and enhance clinical care across the team
- Capacity to effectively assess and or screen consumer need/ referrals and make clinically informed decisions regarding the appropriate course of action, consulting colleagues/external services as required
- Ability to coordinate and plan acute crisis urgent assessments and secondary consultation
- Contribute effectively to a multidisciplinary team with a genuine commitment to working within a client-centred framework
- Have knowledge and practice in delivering mental health care
- Have consolidated skills in assessing mental state and risk
- Be collaborative, responsive and empathic
- Have the capacity to consult, liaise and negotiate sensitively with clients, their family or carers, treatment teams and community services
- Provide supervision, mentoring and support within the multidisciplinary team
About You:

- Minimum of 5 years' mental health clinical experience.

- Communicate clearly, openly and effectively within internal and external stakeholders in verbal and written form.
- Engaged in ongoing professional development, supervision and the provision of supervision within your discipline.
- Have demonstrated high level clinical intervention skills: mental state assessment; risk assessment; care planning; evidence-based clinical interventions and therapeutic practices.
- Practice within the bounds of the MHA (2022) and are aware of relevant mental health legislations and policies.
