About the Role:

Western Health is seeking a Senior Consumer Peer Support Worker to join our Community Mental Health Team.

 

This senior lived experience role provides peer support to consumers while also offering day-to-day leadership, mentoring and guidance to Consumer Peer Support Workers. The role is grounded in the Intentional Peer Support (IPS) framework and works closely with multidisciplinary teams to support recovery-oriented care.

 

You will Bring:

  • Lived or living experience of mental health challenges and recovery
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a consumer peer support role
  • Experience supporting or mentoring peer workers
  • Strong communication skills and inclusive practice
  • Understanding of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
  • Completed IPS training (or willingness to undertake)
