About the Role:

Western Health is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Pharmacist - Automated Medication Management to play a key role in the design, implementation and optimisation of automated medication management systems across the organisation.

 

Working closely with the Lead Pharmacist - Automated Medication Management, you will contribute to improving patient safety, enhancing operational efficiency and driving innovation through data analytics, system optimisation and collaborative change management, in line with Western Health’s vision of Together, we deliver the healthcare of the future.

 

This position is permanent, full-time (80 hours per fortnight) and available now!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation, optimisation and day-to-day operation of automated medication management systems across Western Health.
  • Develop reports and utilise data analytics to support pharmacy and nursing and midwifery operations, compliance and performance improvement.
  • Act as a key liaison between clinical teams, digital health teams and external vendors to deliver fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, risk management and accreditation requirements related to medication automation.
  • Develop and oversee an education portfolio relating to automated medication management solutions.

 

About You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience across diverse settings.
  • Demonstrated expertise in electronic medicines management and automated medication workflows in a complex healthcare environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to support change, manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality outcomes.
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement, professional development and patient-centred care.
