About the role:

This role is suited to an experienced social worker who can demonstrate a high level of specialised clinical knowledge and capability to provide professional supervision and clinical leadership to a small social work team.

 

This role contributes to professional and service development, leads research and quality activities, supports the clinical education program, and holds responsibility for data reporting and analysis.

 

Key responsibilities:

  • Have a minimum 7 years clinical social work experience preferably in a hospital setting, or related experience in oncology or palliative care clinical settings.
  • Exhibit sound leadership skills, experience and behaviour, in addition to highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrate extensive, evidence-based specialist knowledge, clinical reasoning and competencies, to lead and enhance patient care in area of practice
  • Are able to lead service development and evaluation through quality improvement activities or research projects where appropriate
  • Provide high quality clinical supervision to staff and students as required, that encompasses performance development planning and performance management as relevant
