Sessional Specialist - Thoracic
The Thoracic Unit at Western Health is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Thoracic Surgeon to join the team. The role of the Thoracic Surgeon will be to provide high quality clinical care to the patients Western Health services, to supervise and train Junior Medical Staff and support Western Health strategic priorities.
There are ample opportunities for peer review and discussion, and the unit has a supportive and collegiate culture.
To be Successful in this Role, you will:
- Have Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Surgeons
- Hold current Australian medical registration
- Be a member of ANZSCTS (Australian and New Zealand Society of Cardiac and Thoracic Surgeons)
- Demonstrate strong clinical skills and knowledge as well as possessing excellent communication and interpersonal aptitudes. A high level of commitment to top quality patient care is essential
- Have experience in the support and supervision of Junior Medical Staff
- Have demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team
