Speech Pathology and Audiology Department- Improvement Lead

 

Are you a speech pathologist wanting to lead a growing team in Melbourne’s west? A rare opportunity exists for an experienced leader to join our Speech Pathology and Audiology Department. As the Speech Pathology and Audiology Improvement Lead, this ongoing part time position (64 hours per fortnight) will provide leadership across multiple Western Health sites with a particular focus on:  

  • Clinical education strategy and planning including collaboration with university partners 

  • Quality and research including capacity building within the department 

  • Service development and improvement.   

 

As an integral member of the senior leadership team, you will promote creativity, team effectiveness and evidenced based patient care within the Speech Pathology and Audiology Department and more broadly across Allied Health. This position also has the potential to hold a small clinical caseload.  

 

To be successful in this role you will have: 

  • Proven leadership skills, including strong interpersonal and communication skills 

  • Demonstrated provision of expert patient centred clinical service in Speech Pathology 

  • Proven ability to lead and supervise staff and students 

  • A commitment to continuous quality improvement, clinical research and professional development of self and others 

  • Highly developed negotiation, problem solving and analytical skills
