Speech Pathologist - Grade 2
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Grade 2 Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic Speech Pathology Department on a temporary basis.
Based at Sunshine Hospital, this role offers an exciting and rewarding opportunity to provide patient-centred clinical care in the subacute setting (including GEM, the Dementia Management Unit and GEM@Home), work in a collaborative multi-disciplinary environment and provide staff supervision and clinical education.
This position is:
- Part time (0.84 EFT, 4 days per week)
- Temporary until April 2025 (leave backfill)
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have highly developed clinical skills to assess and manage dysphagia and communication impairment within the subacute setting
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and/or students
- Contribute to quality improvement and professional development
- Ensure safe and high quality patient care is delivered in line with Western Health values and policies.
- Eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia
