About the role:

The successful applicant will have the exciting opportunity to be become part of Joan Kirner Hospital Periop team.

  • You will play an important role in the Periop space, you will be responsible for preparing theatre for procedures and setting up and maintaining equipment.
  • Closely working with clinicians and nurses in a dynamic enviroment.

Key responsibilities: 

  • Providing quality patient centred care.
  • Working closely with Clinicians, Nurses, Midwifes
  • Handling and maintaining theatre equipment and impact overall theatre performance

 

About you:

  • Cert III in Operating Theatre Techincian qualification or higher.
  • Clear understanding and use of medical terminology.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Excellent time management.
  • Understanding of infection prevention and OH&S
  • Knowledge of surgical theatre equipment and patient positioning.
